Prototype verification:

In addition to the daily lean production management controls, we spend further time focusing on prototype verification, model design and scheme optimization. After understanding the overall requirements of our customers, Leyuan uses 2D or 3D simulation programs to verify the prototype to ensure that the specified performance index is achieved under the given conditions, and the optimized magnet size is calculated to reduce the costs.

Manufacturing solution:

Magnets are hard and brittle materials which are often difficult to process. In this process, we focus on how to complete the processing of magnets at the lowest possible cost for our customers. The key points of evaluation include:

Design communication, simulation software calculation, drawing review, and fixture design - all of these activities are very important to ensure that the design concept can be realized.

According to our experience, we summarize some of the problems that are easy to ignore in the product design and manufacture processes.

Adhesive force:

Many magnetic components use glue to stick the magnet to the metal substrate. The bonding force of glue is the key point to control the stability of the product. Among them, temperature, glue amount and speed are the elements to ensure the bonding force.

Adhesion of coating:

Sintered NdFeB is easy to oxidize. Electroplating on the surface ensures resistance to oxidation and is acid-base resistant. If the coating adhesion is not great enough then the product will be invalid.

Magnet resistance:

The magnet can bear a high pressure load, but it is easy to break when it is in tension and under bending force. The magnet thus cannot be used as a structural part, so the pressure load should be preloaded when necessary.

Thread:

The magnet is not easy to process, and it is almost impossible to cut the thread on the magnet. The design and installation mode should be changed accordingly.
