Many friends have never heard of ALNiCo magnets. The main reason is that these ALNiCo magnets are relatively less involved in our daily life. Naturally, we don't know much about them. We will focus on the characteristics of ALNiCo permanent magnets.
ALNiCo magnets are an alloy composed of aluminum, nickel, cobalt, iron and other trace metal elements. They have the characteristics of high energy, high induction, high residual magnetic flux density, good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.
ALNiCo permanent magnets can be divided into two categories: cast AlNiCo and sintered AlNiCo magnets. The shape of cast ALNiCo magnets can be diversified and complicated.
The mechanical dimensional tolerances of sintered ALNiCo can be controlled more accurately. Cast ALNiCo products are mainly used in automotive parts, instrumentation, electro-acoustics, motors, teaching, aerospace, aviation, military and other fields. Sintered ALNiCo is widely used in motors (now gradually replaced), instrumentation, communications and various sensors.
ALNiCo magnets can be processed into cylindrical, circular, rectangular, flat, tile, and horseshoe shapes.
ALNiCo magnet materials have low mechanical strength, high hardness, brittleness, and poor workability. They can only be processed by a small amount of grinding or EDM, and forging and other mechanical processing cannot be used.
